Jennifer Ghelfi - De Smedt is founder and principal of Cultivate Consulting. For 18 years, she has successfully advanced the practice of Human Resources and Organization Development in impactful roles at corporate clients, both large and small. Building on her considerable experience in service, high tech and biotech environments, Jennifer has for the past nine years owned and operated her own HR and OD consultancy.
Examples of her success include the integration of independent HR departments following a merger, the creation of HR departments from scratch in start-ups, and leadership of HR functions in established corporations.
Jennifer’s method is based on developing trusting and lasting relationships, creating a collaborative and inclusive surrounding to capture the cultural essence of the organizations she works with. She conducts research at all levels of the organization to design and deliver customized team, communication and emotional intelligence based programs. This approach has proven very successful in all of her engagements, and has been a true catalyst for positive cultural and organizational change.
Jennifer’s professional qualifications include a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Organization Development. She is a certified executive coach, and master certified in team and communications programs as well as in facilitating MBTI, strategic planning and intact team interventions. Jennifer’s corporate and consulting experience includes, among others, McKesson, Oracle, NET, Teamtoolz, and Corixa (now GSK).
